STAND UP !!!!

In the 18th Century inengland, during the industrial revolution children were forced to work in mines and in factories in unhealthy conditions. They didn't have food and freedom. They worked for their families because they were poor and they didn't have money. Children worked for very long hours for little wages. In the 19th Century, the situation for children improved but not in India for exemple : "GAsP !".

071101_p7_cartoon_Indian-chIn the right we can see a man who is whipping a child. This child in the middle is working. He is crying and he has chained. He is gasping in this little room. The door is locked and the window has little bars. The adult has a whip.

The man has got a whip because he is whipping the child to force him to make him work quickly. The child is working and crying, he is gasping because he is in a little room locked. The child is sewing. The child represents children who work in India and their working conditions. The man represents every man who exploit the children.

The cartoonist wants to show child labour in poor countries and the gap between adults and children. He wants to show the children working conditions.
